A timber frame tiny house... on wheels

The Shower

The shower is complete. It is a basic model from Lowes. It was nice to have some help with this project. My brother-in-law framed in the wet and dry wall and my father installed the kit. It is amazing to me how poor the directions were for the shower kit. In the end everything worked out (shims and more shims).

Plumbing continued

I didn't get a chance to try fixing the water pump issue yesterday like I hoped but I did finish the plumbing for the shower. We also were able to put up some 1/4" durock that will be the backer for the shower walls. I had also hoped to install the water heater but got frustrated with the disorganization of tools and parts.

Plumbing Update

I don't envy plumbers. I didn't think the plumbing work this weekend would be easy but I didn't think it would be so frustrating. It seemed that every time I turned around I needed a new tool or a connection that I didn't have. Despite the setbacks and frustration I am happy with were I got this weekend.

The Plumbing

This weekend I am going to attempt to finish the plumbing. Other than the timber frame and propane piping, my wife and I have done all the work on the house ourselves. The plumber we hired to hook up the propane heater was originally going to do the plumbing. He started the rough work four weeks ago but hasn't been able to get back since.

The folks over at Tiny House Design were kind enough to put up a post about our house. They wrote a great summary and picked out some of our best pictures. If you haven't read it already take a look.
